One Piece "I'm Gonna Be King of the Pirates!" Edit List (Original title: "I'm Luffy! The Man Who Will Become the Pirate King")
1) When the sailors pull up the barrel that Luffy is in, they comment that it could be wine in the original, but water in the dub. The same thing happens later on when Koby finds the barrel. 2) Nami never spoke in the original, but she's given dialogue in the English version. 3) When Nami kicks one of Alvida's pirates where it hurts, the actual connection is cut. 4) A small scene with Koby finding the barrel that Luffy is in is cut. 5) When Luffy says "That was a really great nap!" 4Kids gives him lip flaps (in the original, you couldn't see his mouth move when he spoke). 6) Luffy doesn't make any mention of his ship getting sucked in by a whirlpool in the 4Kids dub. 7) When Alvida throws her mace at one of her minions, we don't see the mace hit the other two minions in the 4Kids dub. 8) Koby doesn't get slapped by Luffy in the 4Kids dub. Since this never happened, Luffy's hand is edited, so it's at his hip. 9) It's "cursed fruit" in the 4Kids dub, not "devil fruit." 10) Luffy doesn't make mention of how many shipmates he wants on his crew (he says he wants about 10 in the Japanese). 11) When Koby remembers Luffy saying "Because that's what I want and that's that!" in the 4Kids dub, it was originally a flashback to Luffy saying he's willing to die for his dream (in the 4Kids dub of that scene, he said "It's just like sticking up for your dreams. You have to hang tough, no matter what"). 12) It's "Gum-Gum Blast" in the 4Kids dub, not "Gum-Gum Pistol." 13) When Luffy punches Alvida, there was a mini-slideshow type sequence showing Alvida being punched, as well as a clip of her riding the Gum-Gum Rocket. 14) "Marine" gets changed to "Navy." This ridiculous practice will continue throughout the rest of the series. 15) Luffy doesn't slap Koby at the end of the episode, either, when it shows an overhead shot of Luffy's ship. 16) The post that Zolo is tied to was a cross in the original. There's also no wicked guitar riff at the end, either :(
